Morocco is ruled by a monarch who is purportedly a direct descendant of the prophet Muhammad and intends to govern the nation with Islamic principles. No church buildings exist in Morocco, and Bible distribution and missionary activity are not allowed in the country. Today, only a fraction of 1 percent of the population is Christian. Christians have difficulty finding fellowship, but networks of underground churches have developed. Local leaders ask that the global body of Christ pray for a spirit of unity to develop among the Christian communities and that Believers will grow in their faith and be allowed to worship freely.
