Who is The Voice of the Martyrs?

The Voice of the Martyrs (VOM) is the Body of Christ acting upon God's command to "Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body." (Hebrews 13:3 KJV)

Jesus told His followers to expect persecution: "If they have persecuted me," he forewarned, "they will also persecute you… But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me" (Jn.15:20-21).

There are faithful followers of Jesus who will not compromise when authorities forbid congregating and evangelising in the name of Christ. They believe that "we must obey God rather than man" and suffer the consequences of following Jesus (Acts 4:18-20; 5:27-29).

Accepting that Jesus is "The way, and the truth and the life" (Jn. 14:6), his disciples are rejected, ridiculed, threatened and antagonised by governments, other religions and even their own families.

Many are imprisoned; many are tortured; many are martyred. These are our brothers and sisters in Christ.

We are their voice, the Voice of the Martyrs.

Our Organisation

The Voice of the Martyrs is an international, evangelical faith mission, committed to serving today's persecuted Christians around the world.

We are organized as autonomous missions in various countries, cooperating and working together through our International Christian Association. We work in approximately 60 countries, encouraging, supporting and equipping persecuted Believers.

“For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.”

–Matthew 16:25

Join us in praying for persecuted Christians all over the world on Sunday, 7 November 2021.

This year, we pray for our persecuted Christian family members who choose to walk this path in obedience to Christ, like our founders, Richard and Sabina Wurmbrand.
