On Saturday, 8 March, eight young Christians were baptized. The ceremony took place in a village in the southwestern part of the country where Muslim terrorists from neighbouring Mali sometimes attack and kill followers of Christ. “These baptisms are different than most I have attended as they are quite solemn,” said a Front-Line Worker. “Once these individuals are baptized, they are targeted and are likely to be beaten or even killed for their faith in Jesus Christ.” As they were being baptized, the Christians sang “I Have Decided to Follow Jesus.” Seven of the newly baptized Christians also received Bibles.
Praise the Lord for these Believers committing their lives to Christ.
Pray for their protection as they serve the Lord in Burkina Faso.
Pray for more people in Burkina Faso to give their life to Christ despite the persecution they face.
