KYRGYZSTAN: Converts Rejected by Family

93% of Kyrgyz are Sunni Muslims.

Two women have been abandoned by their families for their faith in Christ.

Aziza is 17 years old and was kicked out of her home for placing her trust in Christ. A church allowed her to stay in their building for six months while she finished high school and helped her receive counseling. Aziza now hopes to attend college in the fall.

Jibek, who is in her late 60s, was also opposed by her family when she became a Christian. Earlier this year, Jibek fell, broke her back and moved to another part of the country for treatment. While there, she could more freely listen to Christian services even though she was bedridden. When her family learned that local pastors have been trying to encourage her, they cut off all contact.

Front-Line Workers request prayer that these women will be encouraged and grow in their faith.
