MALDIVES: Reaching Many Through "People of Peace"

All Maldivians are required by law to be Muslim. Fewer than 30 Maldivians are known to be Christian.

Front-Line Workers in the Maldives often encounter significant challenges in sharing the Gospel and discipling new Believers without drawing persecution from fundamentalist groups, so they pray for “people of peace” who are open to engaging with them to give others the possibility of experiencing the Gospel. Mary, one such potentially influential person of peace, shared that she and her husband have suffered traumatic losses as they have tried to start a family. Front-Line Workers were able to pray with her in this respect and share the Gospel with her.

• Pray that Mary's experience will turn her heart to know the Gospel. Pray also for Mary and her husband to be able to have a child.

• Pray for Front-Line Workers to encounter "people of peace" and to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ throughout the islands.
