Rami Ayyad, who operated the only Christian bookstore in Gaza City, was abducted and brutally murdered by Islamic extremists in 2007. At the time, his wife Pauline was pregnant with their third child. Not long after Rami was killed, Pauline and her children left Gaza and sought safety in the West Bank city of Bethlehem. Pauline has requested prayer that the Israeli government approve her request for their official address to be updated on their identity papers. Pauline added that it is vital for the government to approve the change before the end of the first week of December when her oldest son turns 18. Otherwise, his Gaza address will become permanent. “Without updating the address, he will not be legal in this area,” she said.
