Christian girls in Pakistan are vulnerable to abductions and forced marriages.

A Christian girl who was assaulted and kidnapped has escaped from her abductors.

On 25 March 2026, a 14-year-old Christian Pakistani girl named Abigal and her sister walked to school, unaware it was closed for a holiday. The older sister’s class was having a party, so she stayed. Abigal tried to find a rickshaw to take her home, but as she crossed the street, five men grabbed her and sexually assaulted her. She was then blindfolded, drugged and abused for 10 days.

After she managed to escape, she gave a detailed description to police, including the names of her assailants. But authorities tried to force her to return to her abusers, claiming she had married one of the men. She denied it and courageously testified in court, though the outcome has yet to be decided.

Front-line workers request prayer for her and all young Christian girls who are being kidnapped and forcibly married against their will to Muslim men.
