You cannot understand China without meeting heroes of the faith like Samuel Lamb who was imprisoned for more than twenty years for preaching the Gospel and became the beloved secret pastor to hundreds of fellow inmates. After his release in 1978 he built a phenomenal house-church congregation of more than a thousand. He soon became a target for the authorities, losing his church and library. Yet, he continues to serve Christ.
